Description

The silver Greek, Macedonian Marine pin or fibula and belt is not included in this sale but is there to show you how this tunic looks and works.  This garment is 100% made of linen and could be used as either a Greek Macedonian Marine chiton and Roman Marine tunic.  Based on evidence, I had envisioned this color as well as a working garment with one sleeve off his shoulder for heavy shoulder use to be worn by either an Athenian Marine or a Roman Marine.  Greeks would row their own ships as well as fight and this chiton/tunic is designed for use by a rower on the starboard side using a free from snagging a bare right shoulder for repetitive rowing.  I chose a blue linen fabric due to their mastering of the sea which is also called Aegean Blue appropriately.  I allowed for one shoulder to be easily uncovered so the material is not worn out by repetitive rowing or even working on a laborious job building a wall or camp for the night.  Roman reliefs show this also being done when working fatigues.  For sale but not part of this sale is my silver marine fibula.  I used a Marine silver fibula that I made myself from an original artifact but you can use any type of ancient pin.  The chiton is $89 as mentioned and is nicely decorated along the lower edge.  This can be easily removed if you prefer not to have it.  The Marine silver fibula is $38 and can be purchased separately after the sale or added into the cost of the garment.  The foe braided foe leather belt is $16.
Note: If you want o buy all three items including the chiton/tunic, silver marine fibula pin and belt, I will give you a 10% discount on the total.  You will have to let me know this before you make your purchase as I will have to reword and reprise the set for you first.
